Skier known from the Finnish national team Katri Lylynperä shared bad news on Instagram.
– The illness after Christmas has lasted a long time. Fortunately, we have already reached the track, but the Imatra SM skis are approaching too quickly. So you won’t see me on the racetrack at Imatra, Lylynperä says.
Imatra SM skiing will take place next weekend. The program includes a pair sprint (v), a 10-kilometer intermediate start race (p) and a skiathlon 10 km (p) + 10 km (v).
Along with the update, Lylynperä has attached a photo of the positive corona tests.
– The construction of the puzzle is ahead again, but that is all too familiar work, Lylynperä continues.
The 31-year-old lady participated in the Ruka, Lillehammer and Davos World Cup competitions in the early season. The best quotation of the season in an individual distance was seen in the Ruka sprint, where Lylynperä finished seventh.
The climax of the skiing season can be seen in Trondheim, where the World Championships will be held from February 26 to March 9, 2025.
