January 6 – 9.01pm – MILAN

It must obviously be technically impossible for a Milan derby to go away without sparks flying between Hernandez and Dumfries. The two have added another episode to the already large list of arguments, skirmishes and improprieties. Nothing bloody, for heaven’s sake, but in the meantime the folder is enriched with something new file.

impact

It happens shortly after half an hour of the first half, on a basically harmless Nerazzurri action because, near the Milan area, the ball is sliding towards the sideline. Dumfries controls the trajectory of the outgoing ball but Hernandez arrives behind him, who attempts an (unlikely) recovery before the ball goes out. At that point Theo comes into contact with the Dutchman, gives him a push from behind and then with his shoe impacts the area between the heel and the Achilles tendon of Dumfries’ left foot, who ends up on the ground in pain. The game stops for a good couple of minutes because the Nerazzurri winger feels pain and doesn’t get up. Hernandez goes to the referee Sozza to justify himself about the involuntary nature of the gesture and in the end, when the opponent gets back to his feet, Theo approaches him to clarify himself but does not find much compliance in the Dutchman, who remains immobile and glares at him . For any explanations and/or apologies, please come back.
