For the second year in a row, photographers can compete in the Stichting Nieuwsfoto election for the best news and sports photo of 2024. And a new, equally important category has been created: the best regional photo of 2024. “We should not forget the people behind the images,” says Ineke van Gent, chairman of the jury for the Regional News Photo of the Year.
