Breathe a sigh of relief in Jena: Henning Bürger is back on the coaching bench. Before that, he had to take a week-long break due to illness. Details about this are not known.
Coach Henning Bürger from regional league team FC Carl Zeiss Jena returns to the sidelines after recovering from illness. The club announced this after the 55-year-old sought medical treatment. FC Carl Zeiss does not provide any information about the type of illness.
“We couldn’t have started the new year with better news. Henning informed us after the Christmas holidays that he feels ready to fill his coaching position again with the required intensity and is looking forward to starting preparations for the second half of the season on June 6th “To lead the training again in January,” said sports director Stefan Böger, who had temporarily led the training in place of Bürger in the past few weeks.
Jena is in fifth place in the Regionalliga Nordost and will get back into the action on January 25th with a catch-up game at Hertha Zehlendorf.
