In the summer, BVB loaned its striker Sébastien Haller to Spain. However, this loan should be canceled. A new interested party is ready.

The Dutch first division club FC Utrecht is apparently interested in Sébastien Haller. As the newspaper “Voetbal International” reports, Utrecht is said to have already contacted BVB, which owns Haller. The Ivorian is currently on loan to Spanish club CD Leganés. According to “Marca”, Leganés wants to end the loan early.

The 30-year-old striker played at FC Utrecht from 2015 to 2017 and scored 51 goals in 98 appearances. Haller has positive memories of the current third-place team in the Dutch Eredivisie. That’s why, according to “Voetbal International”, he should push for this change.

But those involved still have to overcome a big hurdle. Because financially there are clear differences between what Utrecht can afford in terms of salary and what Haller earns in Dortmund. Therefore, it could take some time before it is implemented.
