“There are many foxes that make their nests in the dune area, but also in the polders and even in urbanized areas such as ‘t Bosje in Ostend… There are foxes everywhere these days. Especially at dusk and at night, they look for food and you can find them everywhere,” explains Paul Lingier of Natuurpunt Middenkust.
Foxes mainly pose a danger to other animals. They are usually afraid of people. However, the city is now calling on people to leave foxes alone and certainly not to feed them. After all, wild animals remain unpredictable.
