The first week of the Christmas holidays is almost over and the catering industry is already looking back with satisfaction. “This year, the first week of the Christmas holidays was actually a stroke of luck. Normally Christmas is a little calmer, but this year we can really speak of good occupancy in our hotels,” explains Bart Boelens of Horeca West Flanders.
The second week of New Year’s Eve is normally even busier. “New Year’s Eve is traditionally a party weekend and people want to go out and come to the coast,” says Bart Boelens.
With an ice skating rink, light tunnel and Christmas market, Winter in Ostend also attracts many visitors. Winter in Ostend continues until next Sunday.
