Last week, SV Sandhausen released coach Sreto Ristić. Now the third division team has found a successor. It’s an old friend.
Third division soccer team SV Sandhausen has brought Kenan Koçak back as coach. The 43-year-old succeeds Sreto Ristić, who was released last week. Koçak was on the sidelines in Sandhausen between 2016 and 2018 and most recently coached MKE Ankaragücü. The collaboration with the Turkish second division club was recently ended by mutual agreement.
“In addition to the necessary experience, the decisive factors are a clear tactical plan, which the team urgently needs at the moment, the ability to react in the game and a clear line in team management,” said President Jürgen Machmeier, describing the requirements profile. “When the door opened to Kenan, we didn’t have to think twice.”
After a decent start to the season, the SVS ended the calendar year in tenth place in the table. The club starts preparations on Thursday.
