Ex-football player and CEO of HJK Aki Riihilahti and dancer-dance teacher Katri Riihilahti became friends Dancing with the stars program in 2021.

At first, Aki thought that the two come from such “different worlds” that even a joint dance would not be possible. After getting to know each other, common steps were found both on the parquet floor and in free time.
Aki and Katri went to a restaurant together and Katri opened up about her background to Aki. The two completed the TTK program and the friendship continued. They spent time together so that Aki’s two children were also there. The couple says that they were “in touch every day”, even though they were not dating yet.
Aki addressed the relationship between the two a month before the official start of the relationship.
– The feeling started to be so clear. I also had confidence in her and I knew that the children like Katri. I thought that I would hate myself for the rest of my life if I didn’t say this now, Aki recalls.
Soon after the honeymoon, the couple started expecting their first child together. Katri wondered if it could be possible to get pregnant so easily.
– I was afraid that at my age – and my body, which has worked as a dancer all my life – I could have children, Katri sums up for the magazine.
Aki and Katri Riihilahti told Iltalehte at Linna’s party that family life has gone well.
– I have to say a big thank you to my wonderful husband, that we arrange things in such a way that each of us gets to do things that are important to us, Katri described.
Bigger siblings Alex and Olivia received the baby well.
– The older siblings have shared the responsibilities of who teaches what, Katri said with a smile.
The family Kevin-son was born in autumn 2024.
