Canadian student (19) deeply regrets biting Jawbreaker candy: broken jaw and mouth closed for six weeks

Canadian student Javeria Wasim (19) recently experienced in a very painful way that the well-known candy Jawbreaker (‘jaw breaker’) is not called that for nothing. You’re supposed to lick the big, hard ball, but she sunk her teeth into it and broke her jaw in two places. She had to keep her mouth closed for six weeks and could only consume liquid food.
