Well-being coach Ilona Siekkinen bought the house for her spouse Mikko Niiranen with Ii from North Ostrobothnia. Siekkinen talks about the acquisition on Instagram.

– This Christmas, Miko and I didn’t buy each other Christmas presents at all, because we bought a joint Suomi home, Siekkinen writes.

He has added several shots to the publication with his spouse in the middle of Christmas preparations at home.

Siekkinen says in his publication that the couple realized in the fall that they do not own anything together. The search was initially only for a bigger home in a familiar place, Oulu.

– That’s how it happened that Mikko didn’t really stay in the agreed area, but browsed Ii’s house offer by himself.

At first Siekkinen flatly refused. After about five minutes, he already changed his mind.

– I realized that there would be a beautiful stone house with a great yard, where it would be possible to put a yard wood sauna, a jacuzzi and an atmospheric fireplace, he describes the possibilities of his current home.

Siekkinen says that the new hometown feels natural for both of them. Niiranen is from Ii and the distance to the center of Oulu is no longer than half an hour.

– Here we can be close to our son’s grave and Miko’s parents as well, says Siekkinen.

Siekkinen and Niiranen’s baby, named Iisaki, died in the womb at the end of May. According to Siekkinen, she was diagnosed with a very rare syndrome, which eventually led to stillbirth.

The couple plans to spend at least Christmas and Midsummer in their home in Finland. Siekkinen also has another home in Spain. According to Siekkinen, only minor surface renovation is planned for the new detached house.

– This was a joint Christmas present for each other. A beautiful end to a difficult year. A new start together, describes Siekkinen.
