Darmstadt 98 apparently has a defensive candidate in mind. According to Belgian reporter Sacha Tavolieri, the Lilies are interested in 19-year-old defender Lucas Noubi from Standard Liège and he is happy about it. Accordingly, he is consulting with those around him about a change.

The Belgian U19 international has been trained at Standard since 2015 and has rarely been used this season; There are two games for the professionals. He sat on the bench six more times. His contract expires at the end of the season, so he would be available for free next summer or probably for less than his market value of 2.5 million euros this winter.
With this assessment, Noubi would be the most valuable signing in the club’s history if he were to move to the Lilies. With his market value, he ranks in midfield in Standard’s current squad; In Darmstadt, only two professionals are valued higher: Isac Lidberg (26) and Clemens Riedel (21) with 3 million euros each. In the most recent second division update, they went up by 2 million or one million euros.
Darmstadt coach Florian Kohfeldt has three trained central defenders at his disposal: Riedel, Matej Maglica (26) and Aleksandar Vukotic (29); Christoph Zimmermann is out indefinitely with knee problems. Noubi could help.
