The Munich team is still having no luck away from home in the Euroleague. There is also a clear defeat at AS Monaco.

FC Bayern clearly lost the top game in the Basketball Euroleague. The team of former national coach Gordon Herbert lost to AS Monaco 74:93 (40:46). This meant the Munich team’s sixth defeat in 16 games this season in the European elite competition. Carsen Edwards was the German champions’ best scorer with 17 points, Johannes Voigtmann contributed 13 points – but that wasn’t nearly enough.

So far, the Munich team has particularly impressed in their own hall, where they are still unbeaten in eight games. Away, however, it was the sixth defeat in eight matches. Despite the setback, Bayern remain on course for the playoffs – the last Euroleague first round game is on Friday (9 p.m./MagentaSport) at Olimpia Milan.

After a good first quarter, Bayern could hope for a win with a 24:18 lead. But as a result, the guest could no longer keep up. Monaco was already leading at half-time and clearly dominated the game afterwards.
