The fire brigade’s climbing team is called in if the regular fire brigade equipment is not sufficient. At Fluvia, that team consists of 36 people. Today a number of them were allowed to carry out a very special assignment. This time, the firefighters were able to exchange their regular firefighter clothing for a Santa suit. Their task: to hand out parcels to the sick children at the OLV of Lourdes hospital in the name of the real Santa Claus. Each child was delighted to receive a teddy bear and a bag of candy from Santa Claus.
