The information security company warns of scam messages being spread through Google calendars. Security researchers at Check Point Software warn of phishing attacks that bypass email protections by masquerading as calendar invitations from trusted senders. Fraudsters modify the sender information of phishing emails so that the messages appear to come from senders perceived to be safe via Google Calendar. According to Check Point, scams have been perpetrated in the names of at least around 300 different companies.
