From Arriva to Qbuzz: these bus lines now run to and from Zoetermeer

Are you used to getting on the red Arriva bus at Centrum West in the direction of Leiden, The Hague or Rotterdam? Since Sunday December 15, Arriva has made way for bus operator Qbuzz. As a result, the timetable of the bus lines for Zoetermeer has changed.

By bus to Leiden and Katwijk

From now on you can take bus lines 400 or 401 from Zoetermeer in the direction of Leiden. The advantage is that both bus lines continue to Katwijk. Handy for a day at the beach on the North Sea coast.

Both bus lines follow the route Zoetermeer, Zoeterwoude, Leiden, Oegstgeest, Valkenburg and Katwijk. They run every half hour, even in the evenings and on weekends. The Bio Science Park in Leiden and ESA ESTEC in Noordwijk are now directly accessible from Zoetermeer. Switching is no longer necessary.

The express bus between Lansingerland-Zoetermeer, The Hague and Rotterdam

From Rotterdam, Waddinxveen and The Hague, several Qbuzz express buses run along Zoetermeer:

• From Lansingerland-Zoetermeer train station you can travel with SnelBuzz 383 to The Hague Central Station, or the other way, to Rotterdam Central Station.
• SnelBuzz 386 runs from Waddinxveen Triangel via Zoetermeer to The Hague.
• SnelBuzz 382 runs the route Waddinxveen, Zoetermeer Maandelabrug and The Hague.
• Bus lines 386 or 382 continue to Gouda during rush hour as line 275.

Limited access

Qbuzz has taken over bus transport from Arriva in the regions of Leiden, Bollenstreek, Duinstreek, Zoetermeer, Alphen aan den Rijn and Gouda. They have ordered new electric buses for this. Due to a delivery problem, these buses were not delivered on time. That is why Qbuzz temporarily operates other buses such as coaches. Please take into account limited accessibility if you are traveling in a wheelchair or with a stroller.

First travel for free and then at a discount

Due to Qbuzz’s start-up problems, you can travel by bus for free until Sunday, December 22. Until January 5, you can travel in South Holland with 50 percent discount on the Qbuzz buses. The discount applies after 9 a.m., all day on weekends and public holidays. The condition is that you check in and out with your debit card. Plan your trip before departure 9292.nl.
