During a fireworks check in Enschede yesterday, hundreds of kilos of fireworks were found in a car belonging to a man from Hoogeveen.

According to the 52-year-old man, he was the owner of the fireworks, a total of about 650 kilos. A report has been drawn up against him.

Yesterday the police carried out a fireworks check in and around Enschede together with the environmental police, reports the regional broadcaster East. In total, more than 750 kilos of fireworks were intercepted.

The fireworks were removed and destroyed by a specialized company.
