In the history of European companies, relationships with the aeronautical world are not rare: if Rolls Royce remains the second largest manufacturer of civil aircraft engines in the world after General Electric, in the past Fiat – which had a specialized division and then progressively sold the activities – and BMW were important players. And again the Swedish Saab, between 1945 and 1990, successfully dedicated itself to the production of cars and aircraft before being spun off, ending up in the first case working with General Motors. But it had never happened before that an airline decided to build cars. It could only happen in China, where there is an increasing number of companies in other sectors seriously trying their hand at the topic. Xiaomi and Huawei are the two most recent examples. Juneyao Airlines is a Chinese airline founded in 2005 that also offers international flights to Europe, Australia and the rest of Asia. He began to be interested in the world of four wheels in 2023, when he created Juneyao Automobile, purchasing the start-up Yudo which was in financial difficulty.

IN FIRST CLASS

455 cm long, 186 wide, 151 high and with a wheelbase of 280 cm, the Juneyao Air It has slender shapes, with a roof arch that ideally continues the line of the bonnet and ends with the rear. The aerodynamic drag coefficient is very low, equal to 0.23 of Cx. The cockpit boasts a large main screen with a very thin frame, which can be rotated towards the driver or passenger by 15 degrees. The new manufacturer’s effort to recreate the experience of a flight inside a first class cabin on the road is evident, offering customers a relaxing and privileged experience.
