South Korea’s parliament has impeached President Yoon Suk-yeol over the declaration of a military emergency. Yoon has now been suspended with immediate effect and will be replaced by the prime minister as interim president. The constitutional court now has 180 days to decide whether Yoon will actually be deposed.
