Mikrobitti published on Tuesday, December 10 a story that dealt with the worst mobile apps in everyday life.

In the story, it was said that Tokmanni Club members can verify their loyalty by saying their own phone number out loud or by showing the QR code of their phone’s Tokmanni application at the checkout.

After the story was published, we received an email from Tokmanni’s communications specialist Juho from Finland.

– In addition to listing the phone number out loud, you can, for example, show the seller a piece of paper, and for this, among other things, we have distributed a lot of physical loyalty cards, Suomalainen writes.

Our claim was based on dozens of random samples in Tokmanni stores around the country. Tokmanni’s cashiers almost always asked for customers’ phone numbers to verify loyalty.

Tokmanni’s Suomalainen acknowledged the company’s practices in verifying regular customers regarding asking for a phone number.

– The majority of Tokmanni Klub members have joined as regular customers only with a phone number. Consequently, this method of identification is also emphasized at the checkout.

However, the Finn did not deny the correctness of the information in Mikrobit’s story.
