Two boys from Meppel (17 and 18 years old) were arrested for an armed robbery of a jeweler in Zutphen, Gelderland, at the end of August. A total of four suspects were arrested this week.
Around closing time, two boys with covered faces and gloves entered the jeweler. “The victim was threatened with a stabbing weapon, after which the suspects took the loot,” the police reconstructed that Saturday evening, August 31. “They fled towards the station on fat bikes. Along the way they were helped by two other suspects.”
“This robbery made a deep impression on the victim,” the police said. In addition to the two Meppelers, boys aged 16 and 17 were arrested from Warnsveld and Harreveld. Two of the suspects are also suspected of another robbery.
