The men’s title will be played by Coello-Tapia and Chingalan. The women’s final: Fernandez-Triay against Brea-Gonzalez
The most awaited finals: in Milan the favorites do not disappoint, both in the men’s and women’s tournaments. Sunday at the Allianz Cloud will see Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia looking for their ninth consecutive triumph in the Premier Padel circuit, with Federico Chingotto and Ale Galan determined to try to break the negative streak against their rivals. First it will be the women’s turn: Delfi Brea and Bea Gonzalez will defend the title won last year by the assault of Claudia Fernandez and Gemma Triay.

Edu Alonso and Momo Gonzalez – a favorite of the Milanese public – tried to stem the excessive power of the world number one, obtaining a break at the start of the match which gave rise to hope. But nothing, against those two monsters there is no competent force, especially in the last five months (from July onwards, Coello and Tapia have never known defeat). Double 6-3 for the top seeds in the draw, who then relaxed, waiting to find out their next challengers. The name of the opponents, after the tribute from the entire Allianz Cloud for Fernando Belasteguin who leaves padel, arrived in the evening. Zero surprises: Ale Galan, paired with Chingotto, continues to win the direct clashes with his ex-teammate Juan Lebron, Martin Di Nenno’s partner: 6-1 6-4 the score of the second semi-final.

Everything according to script also in the women’s tournament. Nice to see Bea Gonzalez finally in optimal physical condition: when she’s well, together with Delfi Brea she forms a couple that is difficult to contain. The winners of last edition opened the Saturday program by giving the crumbs to the young Andrea Ustero and Ale Alonso: 6-0 6-2, with the consolation for Alonso of being able to access the Finals in Barcelona, reserved for the top 16 of the FIP rankings. The certainty of qualification for her came in the other semi-final, thanks to the defeat of Tamara Icardo (paired with Claudia Jensen) against Fernandez-Triay: 6-3 6-2 for Claudia and Gemma, ready for the fireworks in the tomorrow’s final against the “Superpibas”.
