Don’t travel to Sinsheim
The Rafael Borré chapter should be over for Werder Bremen in a short time. The Green-Whites will travel to Sinsheim for Sunday’s Bundesliga game against TSG Hoffenheim without the 28-year-old striker, as the Colombian will probably leave the club early for SC Internacional in Porto Alegre.
“We are in the final phase of negotiations. “We therefore decided together with Rafa not to include him in the squad for Sunday,” Clemens Fritz was quoted as saying in a club statement.
Werder will accordingly collect compensation for the loan player, whose €6.2 million summer move to Brazil from parent club Eintracht Frankfurt has been confirmed for weeks. “Bild” had recently written about a demand of 750,000 euros, but Internacional wanted to pay less.
In January, Borré caused a stir when he was photographed wearing the Brazilian first division team’s jersey without the consent of his current club. He played 19 games for Werder and scored four goals.
