Bram Moszkowicz states that the ‘fake’ stars of Today Inside are guilty of the failed comeback of his good friend Gordon. “That man was destroyed for a week!”
Gordon’s musical comeback has now been canceled again. After the false appearances at his album presentation, he was initially spared by RTL Boulevard and Shownieuws, but the men of Today Inside immediately went all out on this embarrassing display. They laughed at him on national TV.
Bram in the breach
The criticism was justified, says show expert Bart Ettekoven in the latest Show news. “It just didn’t go the way it was supposed to go. He sang three songs there and two of them were just not good. Of course we also broadcast fragments of that. It was clear that he was not in good voice.”
Colleague Bram Moszkowicz, a good friend of Gordon, disagrees. “Of course that can happen, right, when you perform live. It seems like he can’t do anything right anymore, huh? Because when you see the kind of criticism that man receives… I like him, don’t I? Everyone should know that.”
Falsification at VI
Bram and Gordon: two drowning people who try to save each other. “I think he is a sensitive man and humorous. We Jews call that: ‘It is a mensch.’ He has his heart in the right place, I think, and when you hear those guys at VI – because to me that was a lot of fraud that was presented there – then I understand that it is precisely a Gordon that is affected.”
But VI was right, right? If singing out of tune was a crime, Gordon would be on Alcatraz right now. Why does the criticism hit him so hard? “Because I think he is a good person with a very sensitive side.”
Torn and laughed at
Bart thinks that Bram looks at the matter very selectively. “Then I’m going to tell you something. We heard Albert Verlinde say – and I thought Albert certainly had a point there… Gordon is the one who really burned people down to the ankles, laughed at them and made them ridiculous in juries for years.”
Bram shrugs: “That is also fate when you are on a jury.”
Bart: “The criticism you hear today, and I agree with it: he is very fond of handing out (…) but then you also have to be able to take. If you perform like you did last Tuesday and sing out of tune, then you should do it ownen and say, ‘Guys, it wasn’t good.’”
Poor ticket sales
Gordon has put an end to his theater tour and Bart understands that given the disappointing ticket sales. “This was really embarrassing. For example, if you look now in Zwolle, here we have it… This is the occupation! Look how many green boxes there are.”
That is the fault of critics like the men of VI, Bram believes. “Yes, but the man was also destroyed for a week. Is it any wonder that no one goes there?”
Own fault, big bump, according to Bart. “He has made so many enemies in Hilversum in recent years and they now think: hey, hey. There are few people who support him.”
