A judge in the US state of Illinois has barred former President Donald Trump from participating in the Republican presidential primaries in that state. She made that statement because of Trump’s role in the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Trump has now called the statement “unconstitutional” and announced that he will appeal.
