Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Arbitration Board approved the 1-match ban given to Galatasaray’s Argentinian football player Mauro Icardi.
Icardi will not be able to play in the match against Antalyaspor this evening.
In the statement on the TFF website, it was reported that the objection made for Icardi, who was banned for one match and fined 19 thousand 500 liras due to his insult towards the opposing team’s fans in the match the yellow-red team played against MKE Ankaragücü in the 26th week of the Trendyol Super League, was examined.
It was stated that the objection to the 1-match ban and 19 thousand 500 lira fine given to the Argentinian center forward was partially accepted, and the following statements were used:
“Since it was understood that the proven violation was in the nature of an ‘Unsportsmanlike Conduct’ violation regulated by Article 36 of the FDT, he was punished with a ban from 2 official competitions and a fine of 39 thousand liras in accordance with Articles 36 and 35/4 of the FDT, and he committed his action under unfair provocation. “As it was understood that the 12th article of the FDT was implemented, it was decided by the majority of votes, with one member voting for evidence and two members voting against the determination of the penalty, to amend and approve the decision of the PFDK, which included a ban from 1 official competition and a fine of 19 thousand 500 liras.”
