We got the win we deserved. Our opponent is a team that plays counterattack. We gave Istanbulspor too many counterattack opportunities. Sometimes we were not compact, the team grew too tall, and we had problems. There are 3-4 things we need to change. We lose a lot of balls, after we get the ball we can give it back very easily, we are not aggressive enough one on one, we can’t get it. These are important. We have to solve it in training. There are good things, but the things we need to prioritize are the things we are not good at. If our opponent had scored 1 goal, things could have been in trouble. We were better, but there are things we need to be better at.
We must have the ball more. What makes us a great team. Mid-level teams chase the ball. We are not mid-level. We must continue the idea of possession of the ball. We can do this by working and talking to the players. We will develop this topic.
We had problems at some moments of the match. Players sometimes show very good things in training, but sometimes they cannot show good things in the match. It may be a self-confidence issue, it may be related to the game character. We need to think about these. We must reflect the performances in training on the field.
