Krisse Salminen has been working as a stand-up comedian for 23 years.
Krisse Salminen for the third time, she is playing the aunt Halise Alibullen, the neighbor of Hay hat and Felt Shoes.
However, the name still causes difficulties.
– Tendon (Juniper) said Alise Halibullen many times during filming. Even the monk now had to think about how it would be, Salminen admits.
A hay hat, a blanket slipper and a chicken will premiere on Friday, February 16. Serene sunny summer days are seen on the big screen. Behind the scenes, the reality was different.
– In one scene, we are all sitting on the grass. The water came right at an angle and the wind. We sat on blankets so that we wouldn’t be completely in the mud, Salminen describes.
You wouldn’t even guess the challenging weather conditions from the final result.

Otherwise, the film was an ideal summer job. Salminen and Helga to be seen as Alibullen Pirjo Heikkilä spent a large part of the time drinking coffee.
This time, the sisters will be seen in the roles of the hay hat and felt slippers Eedla and Klaara Höglund.
– When they came to reading exercises, everyone treated them like children, that they must be nervous. Then they already knew the whole text by heart and we didn’t. We were so amateurs, Salminen admits.
Alternative business
The work keeps Salminen comfortably busy at the moment. Everyday is spent doing stand up and hosting gigs.
However, the uneven pace of work also offers respite.
– I’m so comfortable that I don’t fill in the calendar. I have always stuck to it, says Salminen.
Salminen relaxes by knitting, among other things. The comedian jokes that if the gigs ever end, he will set up a beanie business.
At the moment, however, Salminen, 47, is not thinking about the end of his career. Success has been behind us for more than twenty years.
– There would be stand-up gigs all the time, if you want to do them. People want to come and laugh.
The subjects of the joke can largely be found in one’s own life: oneself, the dog and the man. And about my own youth.

Ageless
Salminen says that he has turned 32 over the years. It’s not about a woman not being allowed to grow old or that youth is idealized.
– It’s the story of my stage character that my children are about to be my age. I wouldn’t even say I’m forever young, but ageless. I can come up with things more freely when I’m not really that old, he explains.
Salminen did his first stand-up gig in 2001. The character has remained the same over the years – if you can even talk about a character.
– It was shaped by what I was like as a child. I ordered while playing, there were barbies and friend books. I haven’t felt that it’s the character I’m playing.
Today, however, Salminen feels that he is more himself. In the early days, it was easier to hide behind a confused figure.
