Is the hype over? ‘No more queues at chicken shop Jandino Asporaat’

It seems that the hype surrounding Jandino Asporaat’s chicken business is finally over. Both the AD and X-influencer MiesBee state that there are no more rows. “The madness has subsided.”

Jandino Asporaat financed it all with a lot of tax money: the popular FC Kip section in his former TV shows for the NPO. And he put that to good use last year by opening a catering business with the same name in Rotterdam. It was quite a hype for a while: there were incredibly long lines of teenagers who wanted to see this.

Not top quality

FC Kip’s turnover now appears to have plummeted considerably. It A.D wrote last month that the madness has subsided a bit. “Now the storm has subsided a bit, because it is (fortunately) not that busy anymore,” says snack expert Eke Bosman. “Is that a logical consequence, or a sign on the wall?”

The latter, he thinks. “I noticed one thing right away: that chicken is actually not that good. The chicken may be tender, but you can really taste from the crust that it is not of top quality.”

No more lines

The well-known X-influencer MiesBee, whose channel has been called ‘the nicest account on X’ by Fidan Ekiz, regularly visits the center of Rotterdam. She realized November There were still long lines at FC Kip (‘as a social phenomenon this is more worrying than Wilders’), but I was there again yesterday afternoon and saw that it was very quiet.

There are no more people waiting to get into Jandino’s chicken joint, writes MiesBee. “No more queues for FC Kip, but children and mentally handicapped people taking selfies in front of the entrance.”

All tock

The Rotterdam Kitsune then says: “I don’t go to that area. All the rage.”

Miesbee: “It’s more than bad. Especially on Saturdays.”

Kitsune: “Indeed. Saturday is totally one hell hole of smoking tracksuits and other scum. Stadhuisplein, the Lijnbaan and Hoogstraat. All hopelessly lost.”

TikTok sheep

A certain Vincent thinks that Jandino should be worried. “After being screwed the first time with bad food and taking a selfie, the novelty has worn off for most TikTok sheep.”

Someone else says: “Price/quality ratio far below par. Not even worth 1 star.”

And Ovide finally: “Celebrities and the catering industry are doomed to failure anyway.”
