Many people who convert to Islam take on a new Islamic name with their switch. Seedorf is not going to do that, he writes. “I will continue to bear my name as given by my parents, Clarence Seedorf!”
Seedorf was born in 1976 in Paramaribo. He has a number of social projects to his name in Suriname. For example, he is ambassador of the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
