On Deadline Day in Turkey, Süper Lig club Besiktas signed Albanian international Ernest Muci from Legia Warsaw. The 1.80 meter tall midfielder becomes a record departure for the Poles (statistics), the Ekstraklasa club receives a transfer fee of 10 million euros. In addition, Besiktas announced another last-minute addition, Braga’s Al-Musrati.
The two-footed Muci moved from his home country to Legia in 2021 for 500,000 euros, where he can now look forward to twenty times this amount. At Besiktas, too, the professional becomes the most expensive purchase in the club’s history, ahead of players like Ricardo Quaresma, Demba Ba & Co. (statistics). The 22-year-old has 31 scorers in 114 competitive games in Warsaw, and Muci has increased his market value in recent years to the current high of 8 million euros (see history). It is unclear to what extent the Poles secured a resale share as part of the deal. The Albanian was recently linked to the English FC Fulham.

Petar Musa | Benfica -> FC Dallas | Transfer fee: €10 million
“Muci is fast and technically strong, Celta Vigo wanted to bring him to Spain for 4 million in the summer of 2023. He really came into focus after the games in the Conference League against Aston Villa, when he contributed two goals at home and a very impressive goal away. “He has recently been used more often in the national team and has a lot of potential,” says Michael Sroka, Area Manager Poland at Transfermarkt, describing the player’s qualities.
Midfielder Al-Musrati, however, is initially coming on loan. The Libyan will then be permanently signed for the coming season and will then receive a contract until 2027. The transfer fee is reportedly 12 million euros plus 3 million euros in bonuses, then Al-Musrati will replace Muci as a record purchase. Since 2020, Al-Musrati has played 151 games (15 goals) for Braga.
