Berlin Fashion Week started

Berlin Fashion Week started its new round on Monday with its first show and demonstration.

First up was young designer Gerrit Jacob, who filled a glittering silver catwalk with colorful streetwear. According to the industry magazine “Vogue”, the designer was employed by luxury brands before founding his own label about two years ago.

At the Brandenburg Gate, Greenpeace activists used the start of fashion week to protest against the fashion industry – the clothing industry causes mountains of garbage abroad, according to the activists. They made this clear with a mountain of clothes in front of the Brandenburg Gate. (dpa)
