The fire that broke out in the night from Thursday to Friday at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant in Ukraine – the largest in Europe – was extinguished this morning. The authorities report that the fire brigade had mastered the fire at 06:20 (local time), after the emergency services were only able to reach the complex after 05:20 due to continuous shelling and resistance from Russian soldiers. There have been no casualties. Top man Rafael Mariano Grossi of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) gives a press conference about the situation at the Ukrainian nuclear power plant around 10:30 am.
