The German ski jumpers flew behind the competition in Yamagata, Japan. In icy temperatures and difficult wind conditions, Selina delivered the best result on Friday with 12th place.

While the German ski jumpers failed due to the conditions, Nica Prevc, who was leading the overall World Cup, was unimpressed. The Slovenian flew confidently to her next success of the season. The Japanese Yuki Ito came second ahead of the Canadian Alexandria Loutitt.

Seyfarth, Göhrlich and Schmid at the end of the top 30

Katharina Schmid actually found her form in Japan. In Sapporo she celebrated her first podium of the season behind local hero Yuki Ito. But this time, after distances of 83 and 73.5 meters, only 30th place was possible. Luisa Göhrlich (82/76m) and Juliane Seyfahrt (84.5/83.5m) had a slightly better time on the hill and came 28th and 29th ahead of Schmid.

DSV duo misses second round

Anna Rupprecht and Agnes Reisch couldn’t cope at all. They missed the final round with jumps of 79.5 and 78 meters.
