The US sporting goods provider Under Armor Inc. announced on Friday that it was filling two key positions.
Accordingly, Yassine Saidi will become the new Chief Product Officer effective January 29th. Kara Trent, who is currently Managing Director of Under Armor’s business in the EMEA region, will move to the position of President of the Americas in February. Both will report directly to CEO Stephanie Linnartz in their future roles.
According to the company, Saidi has almost twenty years of experience in the sporting goods industry. Over the course of his career, he worked for Puma and Adidas, among others.
At Under Armour, Saidi succeeds Lisa Collier, who left the company last summer. As Chief Product Officer, he will be responsible in the future for “developing successful product strategies for the shoe, clothing and accessories categories” and for steering the brand’s “unified global product vision,” explained the sportswear retailer.
Americas head designate Kara Trent joined Under Armor in 2015 after stints at Reebok and Puma. Since fall 2021, she has been leading the business in the EMEA region, which includes Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She takes over the position of President of the Americas from David Baxter, who has been responsible for the company’s most important market since October 2022.
