But without this arrangement in the morning and evening, children cannot get to school. Every day, 15 to 20 children now arrive by car in the center of Deerlijk, where the bus has been waiting for twenty minutes to leave for Waregem. The parents have filed a complaint with De Lijn. Koen Dendoncker: “It is an absurd situation. The bus is now waiting here for twenty minutes. It would be better if the bus could depart from Sint-Lodewijk and simply travel the route it used to during the time it waits here.”
De Lijn has already announced that the parents’ complaint will be discussed during the evaluation of the new transport plan.
