Skating fever has struck the residents of Wilhelminaoord. This morning they are working with all their might to turn the sports cage into an ice rink.
The following appeal was made in a message on Facebook: ‘Who can help turn the sports cage in Wilhelminaoord into an ice skating rink?’ And that was answered. About eight residents gathered at the sports cage this morning.
It is a spontaneous action by the people of the Frederiksoord Wilhelminaoord village community. They saw that it will freeze next week, but since the water in the pond is too high, it will never be possible to skate there now. That’s why they came up with the sports cage as an alternative.
