The police arrested three Eindhoven residents on Wednesday in the context of two major drug investigations. These are men aged 32, 41 and 43. One of them is also suspected of trafficking in firearms.
These are two separate matters. The first concerns the trade in soft drugs. For that investigation, two houses on Halvemaanstraat were searched on Wednesday. Officers found large quantities of soft drugs there, including hash blocks and hemp buds. There was also a large amount of cash. Two men aged 32 and 43 were arrested, and one of them also had his car taken.
The other investigation focuses on the 41-year-old man. He is suspected of trafficking in various types of hard drugs and firearms. He came into the picture based on information from the Encro chat, the encrypted messaging service that was cracked in 2020. He is also still in custody at the station for further questioning.
