Defending champion ratiopharm Ulm celebrated a confident success in the Basketball Bundesliga and moved closer to league leaders Niners Chemnitz.
Coach Anton Gavel’s team defeated the Basketball Löwen Braunschweig 90:73 (38:32) and took their eleventh victory in the 14th game. The Chemnitz team, who recently lost at Alba Berlin, are ahead with 12-2 wins.
Ulm was in the lead from the start, but only started to pull away more clearly in the third quarter. The hosts impressed with a unified team performance, five players scored double-digit points, Trevion Williams was the most successful thrower with 14 points.
