Boateng still plays at Hertha BSC. His contract expires at the end of the season. “Maybe I’ll stop then. I am not afraid and many projects. But when I go into the dressing room, I still feel like playing,” said Boateng in an interview with the Italian newspaper “Corriere della Sera.”
Above all, the footballer obviously wants to play in front of the camera – together with Sly Stallone.
Boateng: “A friendship has developed with him and I am working on a TV series that is inspired by my life, but not about football.”
How exactly could the series look like?
Boateng: “We’re considering Stallone as the narrator and that we both take on small roles. We want to show the pain and wounds it takes to be successful.”
A football star and action hero: That could be a recipe for success for the Hollywood start. But Boateng shouldn’t stop at just one project.
At the European Championships last year, ARD used him as an expert. “I think I’ll do that again for the World Cup,” he announced in the outlook for autumn 2022 in Qatar. “I also want to have my own show. I’m thinking of a Saturday night show.”
