The Swiss department store group is appointing Volker Kächele to the newly created role of creative director, Manor announced on Wednesday. Kächele will take over his position as creative director on February 1st and will report directly to Manor CEO Roland Armbruster.
The focus of the designated creative director will be, among other things, on visual merchandising, according to the department store operator, which is part of the Maus-Frères Group. The aim is to advance the company’s priorities, including the modernization of the fashion offering. He will work closely with the Kächele Visual Merchandising, Purchasing and Marketing departments and support the upcoming projects from a creative perspective.
Miriam Anlauf joined Manor as Category Director Fashion back in November and took on a central role in the implementation of the modernization.
Kächele was once the creative director of Hugo Boss
With Kächele, Manor is not bringing an unknown person into the house. According to his profile on the career network Linkedin, Kächele has been self-employed since 2013, but until then he worked for a few German brands. He worked as creative director of the Hugo Boss line Hugo in Metzingen for a total of 17 years before working as creative director for the Liganova retail agency in Stuttgart for four years. This was followed by a position at the Galeria department store group, then still Karstadt Warenhaus GmbH.
In addition, Kächele, who brings experience in the areas of collection development, store designs and shop fitting as well as marketing to Manor, most recently worked at the optician Eyes and More.
