Jukka Rautakorpi has been fired from the head coach of JYP. The club announced the matter on Wednesday.
The Rautakorvi agreement was supposed to last until spring 2025. Also an assistant coach Ville Nieminen the contract has been terminated.

– At the league level, the head coach plays a key role in that job. Jukka Rautakorpi introduced a very new level of physical requirements to the team, but in other areas of the game the pace of development was not enough to meet the club’s goals and the ship turned even after numerous meetings, Viitanen states.
After the national team break in November, JYP has won only five of their 11 matches. However, the middle class of the SM league regular season is flat. With three points, JYP would rise from its current position to sixth.
