Zoetermeer residents voted the most for these songs from the Top 2000 in 2023

It is probably no surprise that Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody is again in first place in the Top 2000 this year. At least, that is the position in the national ranking. Did Zoetermeer residents also vote for this number, or does ‘our’ list look different?

Just like in the national top ten, Bohemian Rhapsody also takes first place here in Zoetermeer. Maybe you voted for the iconic song yourself! In addition, Zoetermeer residents like to listen to Hotel California by the Eagles: this song takes second place in Zoetermeer. The top three ends with Roller Coaster by Danny Vera.

In terms of music numbers, the top three in Zoetermeer are the same as the national list. Our fellow citizens gave more votes for the songs Radar Love by Golden Earring and Pink Floyd with Wish You Were Here, compared to Avond by Boudewijn de Groot and Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, which are in the national list.

Although the national top ten often consists of the same songs, the Zoetermeers list does contain some different preferences. We see the Hague band Golden Earring in the top 10 almost every year. Last year, Zoetermeer residents gave many votes to Soldier On from Di-rect. In 2023 we will no longer see this song in the top 10. Di-rect will return in the Hague top 10, as will the Hague Goldband with the song Noodgeval.
