The Edmonton Oilers extended the NHL’s longest winning streak and also won the home game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
In the 4-1 win on Tuesday evening, national ice hockey player Leon Draisaitl also scored for the Canadian team, which has a positive record for the first time this season after its eighth win in a row. The goal to make it 3-1 was Draisaitl’s twelfth goal of the season.
Lukas Reichel was on the ice for just over ten minutes without a shot on goal for the Blackhawks.
Seider scores for Detroit
Moritz Seider also scored a goal. In the Detroit Red Wings’ 6:4 win against the St. Louis Blues, Seider scored the interim equalizer to make it 3:3. With the victory, the Red Wings stayed in touch with the direct playoff places in the Atlantic Division in the NHL.
Blues part ways with Berube
The Blues subsequently parted ways with coach Craig Berube. Drew Bannister will take over on an interim basis, as the team from Missouri announced. He previously coached the Blues’ training team, the Springfield Thunderbirds.
