Alongside Ridouan Taghi, Razzouki is one of the main suspects in the trial, which involves multiple liquidations and assassination attempts. The man was only extradited from Colombia to the Netherlands in December last year and appeared in court for the first time on Tuesday.
According to his lawyers, the suspect’s reading glasses were broken during the transfer from Colombia to the Netherlands. Now he is unable to read the file and prepare for his case. At the insistence of his lawyers, an optician has only recently visited the Extra Secure Institution in Vught, but Razzouki still does not have reading glasses.

A simple copy of a few euros is apparently not an option and according to his lawyers Razzouki cannot enlarge the texts on the simple laptop he has at his disposal.
