Sentenced in absentia to 30 and 26 years in prison, they lived with false identities to avoid detection
The suspects took the victim’s body in a car to a wooded area near Grondeville (Nancy) and there they abandoned him. Then They fled to Catalonia and settled under false identities of Croatian origin. Years later, uncle and nephew separated and even had a confrontation since in 2010 they reported each other for threats to the Mossos d’Esquadra for an alleged debt they owed to each other. In this complaint they used false names and the same documentation that they obtained after adopting their new identities. Trial and conviction in France
