The documentary “We are all born”, directed by the Brazilian documentary filmmaker Eduardo Chauvet, reflects the change produced in the quality of life of women and newborns in The Savior from the sanction of the “Born with Affection” law. The function will take place on November 24 at the Amalita Collection, located at Olga Cossetini 141 in the city of Buenos Aires. After the screening, attendees will be invited to a thematic debate. The “Born with Affection” law is based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), among which are: late cutting of the umbilical cord, promotion of breastfeeding and mother-child attachment. The new regulations place mothers, their babies and their families at the center, who have the right to be informed, be heard, and be treated with respect and dignity. The law’s fundamental objective is to guarantee and protect the rights of women from pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period, as well as the rights of girls and boys from pregnancy, during birth and the newborn stage.
During the implementation of the standard, a training process was carried out for health professionals in all areas, which was free and mandatory for all health personnel involved in the care of mothers and newborns. For the creation, sanction and implementation of the law to be possible, the First Lady of El Salvador, key driver of the entire process, and a group of professionals, including the Doctor Rodrigo Aybar García, Doctor Claudio Solanacurrent Head of Neonatology Service at the German Hospital, and the nurse and body therapist Claudia Zamora. The director of the documentary and implementers of the law will also attend the screening at the premiere, among whom there are Argentine professionals, who will offer a few words on the subject.
