Handball record champion THW Kiel will continue to rely on its Czech goalkeeper Tomas Mrkva beyond the end of the season.
Both sides chose an option agreed in the Czech national goalkeeper’s contract, which provides for further cooperation until June 30, 2025.
“Tomas had a strong first year with us and is once again one of the top goalkeepers in the Bundesliga this season with a rate of over 30 percent saved balls,” said THW managing director Viktor Szilagyi, explaining the contract extension.
Mrkva moved from Bergischer HC to Kiel in 2022.
