Not surprisingly, Lothar Matthäus really liked the performance of 95 million euro man Kane. The 1990 world champion sang praises on the talk show “Sky90”.
“We always talk about goals – I’m talking about the person Harry Kane,” the 62-year-old explained and added: “The goals are wonderful for Bayern Munich and him personally.”
Matthäus believes that Kane can even break Robert Lewandowski’s record. In 2020/2021, the Pole scored 41 goals, setting a new Bundesliga record.
“He can score 45 goals with the support he has in the team,” said Matthäus about Kane.
FC Bayern: Matthäus taunts Lewandowski
In Matthäus’ opinion, FC Bayern were right to invest so much money in the transfer of Kane.
“He came here with experience, no longer a young player. He is captain of the English national team and a personality. People bought that,” explained the Germany record player.
Matthäus took the opportunity to make an exciting comparison between new signing Kane and his predecessor in the Munich attack.
“He’s not just a goalscorer, he’s also a leader. He’s more of a leader than Robert Lewandowski because he takes responsibility, gives interviews, takes selfies. That’s exactly the kind of guy Bayern needed,” explained today’s TV expert.
