In the criticism: Rammstein singer Till Lindemann

The nerves of Till Lindemann’s management are apparently on edge. I’m no longer in the mood for annoying press at today’s tour start (November 8th) in the arena in Leipzig, which is sold out with around 12,000 fans. According to the interpretation in the Lindemann camp, they are apparently only looking for the proverbial fly in the ointment and pushing the scandal further.
The wild Lindi solo show should now be reserved for real fans and well-meaning reporters.
For example, the German Press Agency (dpa) was denied the necessary accreditation according to its own statement. An official report on its own behalf states: “The German Press Agency will not report on the start of Rammstein singer Till Lindemann’s solo tour this Wednesday in Leipzig. Accreditation was refused for both text and photo.”
Other regional newspapers also felt the rigid attitude of Lindemann management. According to their own statements, press entry was denied to the southwest German daily newspaper from Böblingen and even the largest local newspaper, the Leipziger Volkszeitung.
The people from Böblingen asked the tour operator Handwerker Promotion. However, a spokeswoman there did not want to say whether only individual accreditations were rejected or whether no media was allowed at the shows at all. She referred to management, which carefully examines every single request.
It is still unclear to what extent this exclusion course will also be followed in other locations on the 24-city tour. But it looks like they want to celebrate among themselves and keep any protests and annoying reporters out.
In Leipzig, a feminist group has announced a protest against the Leipzig concert. Under the motto “No stage for Till Lindemann!”, people want to gather in front of the quarterback arena between 6 and 8 p.m.
As with the anti-Rammstein demos in the summer, the Lindi fans who arrive will be unimpressed by this.
